Secondhand books and ephemera

We sell a huge range of secondhand books on every subject including ficition, children's books and non-fiction on subjects including history, art, religion, photography, design, travel, poetry and more. We have secondhand scores and sheet music, CDs and DVDs.

New books

We are adding a selection of new books, including current fiction, maps, and walking books. Come and see what Polly has picked for us this week!

Mystery books

If you don't know where to start, why not pick up a mystery book? A selection of books wrapped up with only a tantalising hint as to what is inside... don't judge a book by its cover, give it a go!

 

Suggestions and book tokens

We are always happy to help with suggestions and recommendations (we love to chat about books!) and there are notes with staff picks appearing on the shelves already. We also sell book tokens in case you need a gift but can't decide what your person would like; these can be redeemed nationally.

Orders and online purchases

We can order books for customers to be collected in-store, just ask at the counter.

For onine orders, we are live on Bookshop.org, a website that supports independent bookshops throughout the UK. Visit our page to browse our selections and purchase your own.

Not only do we stock books, but we also have a (growing) range of cards and other gifts - Franchi seeds, Poetry Pharmacy pills, decorative prints and more.

Book groups

Interested in a book group? We are thinking of setting one (or more!) up, so email us at elderwoodbooks@outlook.com to tell us what sort of books you would want to read, and the best times of the week for you to meet.
